Baerte de Brey
Mr de Brey is an expert on electric mobility and energy transition. He is responsible for analyzing the long-term effect of electric mobility on the electricity grids. Mr de Brey helps building a sustainable business case around this transition. This includes vehicle2grids, solving regulatory barriers and cyber security. He graduated from Leiden University in 2001 with a law degree and received a MBA from Nyenrode Business University in 2006. On behalf of Stedin, Mr de Brey is one of the executive board members of ElaadNL, a knowledge and innovation center in charge of researches and tests the possibilities for smart and sustainable charging of electric vehicles. As an expert for the European Commission he sometimes reviews collective European programs concerning EV interoperability and smart charging. Mr de Brey is Vice president of the executive board of AVERE, the European Association for Electromobility. Also, he is Dutch representative at the International Energy Agency in the field of Vehicle-Grid integration.
Ivan Burazin
Born on October 18, 1992 in Split.
In 2020, received master’s degree in electrical engineering in Split.
Employed in Split parking since 2016.
Spent several years in the position of System engineer, and in this position passed various network certificates (CCNA, MTCRE, MTCNA, MCSA…).
Currently in the position of Head of IT, Business Processes and Quality Sector.
The sector consists of 32 employees and manages more than 1,500 network devices (routers, switches, video recorders, IP telephony and the like).
Within the sector there is also a system of public bicycles that has around 400 public bicycles, a service workshop and 2 teams of people for the redistribution of bicycles.
In 2023, the public bicycle system managed by Split parking achieved around 350,000 rentals with the registration of 16,000+ new users.
Ian Catlow
Ian Catlow is the Head of London’s European Office in Brussels, representing the Mayor of London and Transport for London to the EU and European stakeholders. A key part of Ian’s role is to manage London’s participation in European networks such as EUROCITIES, where he chairs the working group on Zero-Emission Mobility, POLIS and UITP’s Europe Division. Ian was previously a civil servant in the UK, dealing with trade and economic issues. Immediately before joining London’s European Office, Ian was a seconded national expert at the European Commission.
Marko Čavar
After completing his undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture of the University of Zagreb (major: process-energy, major: energy), he graduated from Aalborg University (major: Planning and Management of Sustainable Development). Through his graduate studies, he participated in various energy planning projects at the regional and national level, and contributed to defining the concept of energy poverty. After joining REGEA in 2018, he has been working on various European projects in the field of energy efficiency in buildings, renewable energy sources and energy storage, electromobility, heating and digitalization. In 2023, he took over the role of Head of the Energy Department at REGEA.
Frederic Delannoy
Frederic Delannoy is the Director of Strategy and Sustainability and Head of the Board Office at E.ON Croatia where his leadership skills and deep understanding of the industry contribute to driving the company’s strategy and sustainability initiatives to shape the green energy transition. Frederic holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Arts & Metiers ParisTech, a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from CentraleSupelec specializing in Energy Systems, and an MBA with Distinction from INSEAD .
Prior to joining E.ON Croatia, Frederic had a successful career in the energy industry. He served as the head of operations at EDF – Electricite de France, where he managed a team operating a 600 MW greenfield combined cycle power plant. He also worked as a strategy consultant at Strategy&, contributing to studies on hydrogen and gaining valuable insights across various industries (e.g., Transportation, Aerospace and Defense, Telecommunication, Utilities). In 2021, he took on the role of project manager in the Management Consulting unit of the E.ON Group in Germany. In this position, he led strategic internal consulting projects, including collaborations with E.ON Croatia.
Julije Domac
Julije Domac, PhD, Managing Director of the North-West Croatia Regional Energy Agency, a member of the European Covenant of Mayors Board, and the President of the European Federation of Agencies and Regions for Energy and the Environment – FEDARENE since 2013. From 2020, Julije serves in the Office of Croatian President Zoran Milanović as the Special adviser on Energy and Climate. He published over 70 scientific and professional papers in journals or at major European conferences and initiated many essential policy initiatives at the EU or national level in Croatia.
Julije is also a recognized technical expert and scientist, editor and author of special editions and paper reviewer for international scientific journals such as Energy Policy, Forestry Economics and Biomass & Bioenergy. He published over 60 scientific and professional papers in journals or presented at mayor European conferences. During his career, Julije was the head of the Croatian National Energy Program BIOEN, technical editor and national project director for the FAO – United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization project manager for the IEA – International Energy Agency, National Project Coordinator for UNIDO – United Nations Industrial Development Organization and consultant on projects for the World Bank.
Julije was awarded the 2002 Croatian National Science Award, Biomass Junior Award on the 2nd World Conference of Biomass for Energy, Industry and Climate Protection (Rome, 10-14 May 2004), Annual Hrvoje Pozar Foundation Award 2005, Charter of Pokupsko Municipality Honorary Citizen – awarded on 15 August 2016 and City of Zabok Award 2018.
Simon Franko
Simon Franko (53), born in Ljubljana, is a chemical engineer by profession, with more than 28 years of leadership experience in international environment. His 25 years long career in German BASF, the largest chemical company in the world, is related to various positions within the Coatings Division, including Managing Director roles of BASF Coatings Services in Slovenia (Novo mesto, Revoz site) and Romania (Dacia site). Account Manager of Renault for EMEA was Franko’s position before he took a position of Managing Director in three countries – BASF Slovenija, BASF Croatia and BASF Srbija in 2016.
Alongside the Slovene and Serbo-Croatian languages, Franko is in command of French, English, German and Spanish. About sustainability is occasionally lecturing at IEDC Business school of Bled, Gea College and Pegasus foundation, as well as many business conferences.
Solving complex challenges and developing new business ideas in diverse environments is his true passion. He successfully developed new businesses and oversaw their implementation in various countries, such as Slovenia, Romania, Iran, Russia, Morocco, and many more.
Petra Grgasović
With over 15 years of experience in public and private sector, Petra is now working as a manager of key projects in REGEA, focused on various aspects of sustainable mobility. As a coordinator of EIT Urban mobility RIS Hub Croatia and Accelerate2Move Market Readiness Accelerator, her goal is to enable a smooth energy and digital transition of the local transport systems, while simoultaneously supporting innovators and local authorities.
A long history in preparation, implementation and evaluation of different urban development projects has enabled her to gain perspective on various challenges that the cities and municipalities are facing. By using these insights and supported by formal and informal education, today she provides assistance within technical and non-technical aspects of sustainable urban development, both to local governments and the stakeholders of the urban ecosystem. She is a validated in URBACT and European Urban Initiative pool of experts.
Besides working on strategic and project level assignments, Petra is an active educator in field of innovation, mobility and soft skills that can foster more productive collaboration among the key stakeholders.
Karla Grgić Totić
Karla Grgić Totić is Sustainability and Climate Country Leader at Deloitte CE South based in Deloitte Croatia office in Zagreb. She has more than 8 years of experience in the field of business consulting with expertise in business and strategy development, process design and optimization, PMO and market analysis. Together with her sustainability team, Karla is supporting regional and international companies with implementing ESG practices, developing sustainability strategies together with preparing sustainability reports (according to CSRD, ESRS, EU Taxonomy and other relevant ESG regulations), calculating GHG emissions and developing decarbonization strategies as well as preparing companies for the ESG ratings. Although she primarily works with clients in the private sector, Karla also provides support to public institutions, she was the Project Manager of the development of Territorial Plans for Just Transition for the Republic of Croatia and is currently leading the project for Strengthening fiscal sustainability of the Healthcare System in the Republic of Croatia, both projects are EU-funded.
After completing her Master’s studies in Analysis and Business Planning at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb (magna cum laude) and European Business Studies (Project Management) at the University of Maribor (magna cum laude), Karla worked for three years as an External Associate at the Faculty of Economics and Business where she held seminar classes in the field of Management, Change Management, Corporate Social Responsibility and Business Ethics and also participated in various scientific ad strategic projects.
In 2019, she enrolled in a PhD study at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana and she is currently in her final year of study, writing a doctoral thesis in the field of sustainability.
Karla is also the author and co-author of scientific and business articles as well as a guest lecturer at faculties and regular participant and panellist at professional conferences, workshops and events in the field of management and sustainability.
Francesco Guaraldi
Francesco got a M.A. degree in Developmental Studies from the University of Bologna. He has a strong expertise as Systemic Innovation advisor and research manager. His strong expertise is related to ICT project applied to mobility and energy.
After working in the world of international cooperation in Latin America and Africa, for more than 13 years he has supported energy agency, university and private companies in writing, managing and coordinating research projects on innovation topics in the fields of Digitization, Electrification and Connected and Cooperative Mobility. Since 2012 he has worked on lithium batteries supporting several project on developing new and retrofitted electric/hybrid vehicles, new BMS and sensing functionalities and on optimization of inverter and control system. Francesco is participating to several WGs in BEPA – Battery Partnership and in EARPA.
Francesco has always tried to work by promoting an approach based on collaboration between the public and private sectors and has favored the creation and development of various city living labs. The integrated vision of both the public and the private sector has been possible thanks to long-term collaborations with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and with various Italian Municipalities, Regions and associations of Municipalities (through the Agency for the ‘Energy and Sustainable Development) as well as in-depth knowledge of industrial R&D by collaborating with private companies such as (FLASH BATTERY, LOCCIONI, BOSCH, ENEL X..) and numerous innovative start-ups. One the Hydrogen he supported the development of several projects funded by EIT Urban Mobility (H2Go,H2CargoBike, H2 Dispenser) and regional and national agencies, both in transport and in hard to abate sector.
Aleksandar Halavanja
Aleksandar holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and has 10 years of work experience in financing energy efficiency and renewable energy sources projects. He currently holds the position of Head of the Department for Systematic Energy Management at the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund (EPEEF) . He participates in the preparation of the Fund’s public calls and calls for proposals, especially those related to e-mobility and smart cities projects. He is also a member of various expert teams who prepare base documents for energy efficiency – RES and climate change mitigation projects.
Stephan Herbst
Stephan is currently acting as Technical Head Hydrogen Business and Value Chain of Toyota Motor Europe’s (TME) Fuel Cell Business Group responsible for hydrogen strategy, new products and sustainable mobility. He is on the Management Board of the Hydrogen Council and Chair of the Mobility Working group of Hydrogen Europe. Stephan is also alternate Liaison Delegate to the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. Previously he held various positions in TME Environmental Affairs, Trend Research and Business Strategy. Stephan also worked in Toyota’s Global Headquarter in Japan looking after the global environmental strategy. Stephan studied business administration and economics and he holds a PhD in economics. Stephan worked for seven years in the automotive industry in Germany and China before joining TME in 2005.
Krešimir Herceg
Krešimir founded Bikademy, an innovative urban mobility and cycle tourism platform that rewards users (Bikademy Students) for daily cycling and exploring cultural and natural heritage by bike. With over 15 years of marketing experience, Krešimir is actively involved in the fields of culture and tourism, organizing numerous events such as VukovART, the largest street art festival in the region. As the president of the NGO Lima, he successfully led numerous EU projects presented as case studies at various lectures and student workshops. For the past year, he has worked as an external collaborator at the University of Slavonski Brod. As a travel enthusiast, Krešimir uses every free moment to explore new destinations. He also enjoys cycling, basketball, and soccer.
Marcel Hoss
Marcel Hoss serves as a Policy Advisor at Deutsche Umwelthilfe (DUH), a leading environmental organization in Germany dedicated to promoting sustainable mobility and enforcing low-emission zones. His primary responsibilities include collaborating with local partners in Eastern Europe on projects that provide knowledge and experiences in planning and implementing low-emission zones. Marcel also strategizes the future development of these zones into zero-emission areas with a view to achieving climate targets in the transport sector at the municipal level. Additionally, he works on mitigating noise emissions from traffic. Prior to his role at DUH, Marcel coordinated trans-disciplinary sustainable urban development projects at TU Berlin. His educational background encompasses European Politics and European Law, providing a strong foundation for his work in environmental policy and urban mobility.

Nikolina Jakopić
Head of the Sector for the development of tourist destinations in the Directorate for sustainable development and competitiveness of tourist destination, Ministry of Tourism and Sports. She has been working in the Ministry since 2010. and became the Head of the Sector in 2022.
Together with her team, she follows trends in the development of public tourist infrastructure in the Republic of Croatia and internationally and creates and implements measures and programs for the development of public tourism infrastructure in order to raise the quality of the tourist offer. She has been actively involved in the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, a reform related to increasing the resilience and sustainability of the tourism sector. She is also responsible for planning and implementing the policy of using the Tourism Fund (dedicated for the development of public tourist infrastructure). As the Head of the Sector, she plans and encourages investment programs in the green and digital transition of public tourism infrastructure, sustainable mobility (e.g. development of cyclotourism and related infrastructure) and sustainable destination management through investment in public tourist infrastructure. Together with her colleagues, she participates in the creating of the public tourist infrastructure development program within the Competitiveness and Cohesion Programme.

Ankica Kovač
Ankica Kovač is Associate Professor at University of Zagreb Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Croatia, holding PhD in renewable hydrogen production. She serves as Assistant Editor in International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, and as project evaluator within Horizon Europe, Clean Hydrogen Partnership, and Croatian Science Foundation. Ankica is founder and chair of Renewable Hydrogen Energy Convention. With her Hydrogen Group she designed first Croatian hydrogen-powered bicycle and installed first Croatian HRS. In cooperation with Toyota Croatia, she organized Croatia Mirai Challenge as road trip from Zagreb to Brussels. Among other projects, Ankica participates in North Adriatic Hydrogen Valley as group leader.
Ankica is Croatian representative in Hydrogen Europe Research and The Collaboration Programme on Advanced Fuel Cells. She is member of Council of President of Republic of Croatia for Energy Transition, Vice President of Croatian Hydrogen Association, and served as Vice President of Expert Working Group for development of Croatian Hydrogen Strategy.

Poslovna inteligencija is an IT consulting company and it’s core business is data analytics. Goran Lampelj
Goran Lampelj is a traffic engineer with expertise in sustainable mobility, covering topics that include active mobility and integrated passenger transportation systems. Advocating for an urban planning paradigm shift that prioritizes sustainability and inclusivity, a lot of his work is focused on better mobility and public space solutions that enable urban recovery, climate resilience all based on participation of all stakeholders. In ODRAZ he is responsible for coordinating the CIVINET network, drafting and monitoring project applications, project implementation and evaluation, organizing workshops for students and representatives of local and regional public authorities in the thematic areas of spatial and transport planning and the use of EU funds.
Tomislav Lang
Tomislav Lang is an accomplished leader in the aviation industry with over two decades of experience shaping the future of air mobility and sustainable travel. Currently serving as CEO/MD at Volocopter Air Services GmbH, he leads innovative air mobility solutions and oversees operational compliance as Accountable Manager (AOC and ATO) since 2022.
He is also the founder of Flyvbird, a company dedicated to on-demand air mobility and connecting underserved communities, and Lang Aviation Ventures & Experts (LAVEX), a global consulting and investment firm in aviation. Tomislav’s expertise spans strategic planning, operational management, and business development, demonstrated during his tenure as Regional Manager at Condor Flugdienst and various leadership roles at SkyWork Airlines. He is a Senior Advisor at the Advanced Air Mobility Institute, contributing to the development of the aviation ecosystem globally. With a proven track record, Tomislav is committed to driving innovation in air mobility and sustainable aviation.
Zoran Lulić
Zoran Lulić is a Professor at the University of Zagreb’s Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Croatia. He graduated from University of Zagreb, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in 1991 and obtained PhD in 2000. He has more than 30 years of experience in teaching and research. His areas of interest and expertise include internal combustion engines and motor vehicles, emissions from internal combustion engines, alternative fuels for I.C. engines, design of internal combustion engines and vehicles, energy efficiency, energy sources, sustainable energy planning, reverse engineering, and standardisation of engines and motor vehicles. He published over 120 scientific and professional papers and actively reviews scientific papers in numerous international journals.
He has led several research projects funded by the Ministry of Science of Croatia and the Croatian Science Foundation, and several Research Development and Innovation projects financed by the Ministry of Economy. The last RDI project is the Development of a multifunctional low-floor vehicle – MUNIVO, an electric minibus with Novatec Ltd and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing.
He also has a long track record of cooperation and applied research with companies in Croatia and is active as an expert assessor for the Croatian Accreditation Agency, Slovenian Accreditation, and Institute for Accreditation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Zoran Lulić has played a pivotal role in the development of several special tax policies related to motor vehicles in Croatia like Environmental Tax on Road Vehicles (Ekološka naknada), the Special Tax on motor vehicles (Posebni porez na motorna vozila), and Incentives for the purchase of more environmentally friendly vehicles.
Since 2014, he has taken the role of the leader of the EU-funded project National Reference Laboratory for Emissions from Internal Combustion Engines for Non-Road Mobile Machinery, valued at 13.5 million EUR.
Andro Pavuna
Andro Pavuna holds a master’s degree in psychology and a PhD in political science. His academic expertise lies in traffic psychology and privacy threats, and he has published research in these areas. During his studies, Andro was awarded the rector’s prize for scientific work and a scholarship from the City of Zagreb for his academic achievements.
With over 15 years of experience in both the private and public sectors, Andro has expertise in behavioral change, leadership, and public administration, having worked extensively in the security sector of the Republic of Croatia. In addition to leading several NGOs, he has spent more than 11 years contributing to national security, where he was recognized for his outstanding work and dedication.
Since 2022, Andro has served as the Head of the Office for Municipal Governance, Transportation, Civil Protection and Safety for the City of Zagreb, and he is the president of the Supervisory Board of Zagrebački holding. His field of work spans urban governance, sustainable traffic, public safety, and infrastructure management, where he continues to apply his skills to improve city operations and urban safety.
Yoann Le Petit
Yoann works as Thought Leadership Manager for EIT Urban Mobility. He contributes to the goal of scaling urban mobility solutions by coordinating the Urban Mobility Next report series and developing activities that foster exchange between practitioners and the wider urban mobility community.
Before that, he gained some first experience in policy and mobility at DG Move and the Siemens representation office to the EU. He then worked as a Clean Vehicles Officer for European NGO Transport & Environment on cleaner cars, air quality, and new mobility.
Yoann graduated from the London School of Economics in European politics and government, and from Sciences Po Rennes and the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt in political sciences.
Anica Petričević
Anica Petričević, Strategic Initiatives Manager – ESG at Erste bank has graduated at the Vienna University of Business Administration. Anica started her career in an international consulting company, after which she joined Erste Group in Vienna and then moved to Erste Bank in Croatia. She has fourteen years experience in banking on different positions, for the last three years, Anica has been focusing on sustainability topics at Erste Group in Croatia, where sustainability is one of the key strategic pillars. ESG responsibilities include the definition and operationalization of the ESG strategy together with the key stakeholders.
Danica Maljković
Dr. Danica Maljković brings 20 years of experience in the energy sector, specializing in hydrogen economy, renewable energy, and energy efficiency. As a scientist, she has detailed knowledge of the technology, and after working many years for the state energy institute, she also understands intricate regulatory affairs. With such complementary qualifications in the field, Danica successfully managed 50 projects across Europe, particularly in geothermal, biomass, biogas, and solar thermal energy.
Today, Danica is the CTO of DOK-ING Indeloop, internal start-up of Zagreb based company DOK-ING. Since 2021 she is also the President of the Association for Hydrogen Economy in Croatian Chamber of Commerce. Danica holds a PhD in Power Engineering and a Master’s degree of Mechanical Engineering, together with an MBA in Energy Economics.
Dario Mišković
“I was attracted to yoga by the great compatibility of its exercises and benefits with the principles of medicine, physiology and kinesitherapy, as well as the endless possibilities of using yoga asanas, along with breathing, relaxation and meditation techniques, to alleviate or eliminate a number of health problems. My goal is to bring yoga closer to each participant by methodically dividing the exercises (asana) into stages or steps so that each participant can safely and effectively perform any of my yoga class.”
Hrvoje Prpić
Hrvoje Prpić is the president of Strujni krug, the Croatian EV Drivers Association, dedicated to promoting electric vehicles and sustainable mobility. Under his leadership, Strujni krug advocates for better EV infrastructure, cleaner air, and legislative improvements to support the growth of electric mobility. As Croatia’s representative in AVERE, the European Association for Electromobility, Hrvoje actively works to align Croatian initiatives with European Union goals for reducing CO2 emissions and improving air quality. His efforts focus on fostering a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future.
Ivan Scheers
Ivar Scheers, born on February 9, 1986, in The Hague, Netherlands, holds an LL.M. in International Public Law from Leiden University. He is currently serving as the Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Netherlands in Zagreb, Croatia. Prior to this, he was the Deputy Consul-General at the Consulate-General of the Netherlands in St. Petersburg, Russia, from 2018 to 2022. Between 2016 and 2018, he worked as a Policy Officer for the Western Balkans and Turkey at the Europe Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 2014 to 2016, he served as the Political Secretary at the Netherlands Embassy in Belgrade, Serbia, and from 2012 to 2014, he was a Policy Officer in the Department for Stabilization and Humanitarian Aid at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Damir Škrtić
After 20+ years of challenging project and various management roles in banking and IT, Damir returned to design and development of software product, joining mobilityONE team as co-founder and CTO and bringing the experience, knowledge and fresh outside view on technology, digitalization and customer experience in mobility industry.
Nikolina Tarnovski
Nikolina graduated in economics at the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb, majoring in Organization and Management. In the Zagreb team of the international student competition Formula student, on the Ris project, was the head of marketing and PR. For a portal about parenting and children she wrote a monthly column and has many years of experience in the banking sector. Her position in the team IDDI is a business and marketing manager.
Tomislav Tomašević
Tomislav Tomašević, born in Zagreb in 1982. He graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences in 2010, and in 2013 he received his master’s degree at the University of Cambridge in the field of environment, society and development. At the age of 16, he joined the Green Action, where he served as president from 2007 to 2012. He was also the president of the Croatian Youth Network and, in parallel, a member of the Youth Council of the Government of the Republic of Croatia. In 2006, he participated in the launch of the Right to the City initiative, and from 2012 to 2015, he was a member of the Council for Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development of the Government of the Republic of Croatia. He was not a member of any party until the founding of Zagreb Je Naš! on whose list he entered the city assembly in 2017.
Tomislav Tomašević was elected mayor of the City of Zagreb on May 30, 2021 in direct elections as a candidate of the coalition Možemo! – Zagreb je naš! – Nova ljevica – Zelena alternativa ORaH – Za grad.
Tomislav Uroda
Graduated as naval architect on University of Zagreb, where he later on starts his career as external associate for structural analysis. Leaving this position he continues education on Bled school of management, and redirect professional life toward the organizational issues in en2eco ltd, Cronomar ltd, and finally (present) at iCat ltd, as cofounder and managing director. Professional interest is: project and innovation development, maritime green technologies and sea transportation network development.
